The Turin Giants Appoint Ex- Italy Manager the Experienced Gaffer
Juventus have chosen former Azzurri head coach Luciano Spalletti to take the helm for the remainder of the campaign.
The experienced coach replaces the Croatian manager, who was dismissed following the loss to Lazio on Sunday.
The former boss came on board in March to replace Thiago Motta but departed after seven months after an eight-game winless streak.
Spalletti guided Napoli to the Serie A crown in 2022-23 before taking charge of Italy, who had failed to qualify for the 2022 World Cup during Roberto Mancini's tenure.
He secured their spot in Euro 2024 where they were knocked out in the last 16 by Switzerland.
However, Spalletti was sacked by Italy in June following a loss to Norway in World Cup qualifying, putting Italy in danger of missing a third straight World Cup.
Spalletti's managerial career includes Inter Milan, Roma, and Udinese in Serie A and lifted the Russian league trophy twice while at Zenit St Petersburg.
Massimo Brambilla served as interim manager for Juventus for their 3-1 win against Udinese on Wednesday placing them seventh in the Serie A standings - six points behind leaders Napoli after nine games.
They are 25th in the league phase of the Champions League, having lost once and drawn twice in their opening three matches.
